My computer is making me crazy!! I promise I have been trying to finish catching up but my computer is not cooperating. I am not sure what the problem is so I might be bugging some of you soon to figure it out. Anyway...on to the post I have been trying to publish for WEEKS! Thanks, Mom, for the use of your computer.

I can't believe I still haven't caught up! These are pictures of Abbye's Mickey Mouse Party. It was so much fun. Danielle made an awesome cake, Ms. Lyniel let us use her jumper and lots of family and friends got to come and play with us. Abbye had a great time. I still can't believe I have a 3 year old!

So we finally introduced Chuck E. Cheese to Abbye and Kenna. It was Abbye's birthday and I wanted to do something fun and different. The girls LOVED it. I am still trying to catch my blog up for my own "scrapbooking" purposes so sorry again for going back to April 1st.

Lake Tahoe

Charlie and I were able to go on a vacation to Lake Tahoe. It was so beautiful and so much fun! We had great time with great friends. We came from beautiful spring West Texas weather to record snow in South Lake Tahoe. It was so crazy to see so much snow right up to the edge of the lake. Cassie and T.J.

The bench was almost all covered. Many street signs were which made driving interesting.

Elena, Cassie, Zach and I rode the Gondola up to top of the mountain for lunch. Charlie, Jeff and T.J. were up there skiing. The view was awesome with the lake and the mountains.

We (Abbye and I and I am sure Anson too!) have been wanting to go to the zoo for a while. Finally, over Spring Break we got to go. We were all so excited. We went to the zoo in Clovis, NM. I grew up going to this zoo so it was fun to go back because I hadn't been in so long. It is definitely not the Ft. Worth Zoo but it was perfect for us! They had so many animals! It was a great size and extremely kid friendly. It was just enough to wear the kids out. I have loaded a ridiculous amount of animal pictures but it was so fun. Our favorite was the giraffe.

Let the Catch-Up Begin

Well...Once again my blogging has taken a back burner. Time for some updates. Let's start with some random cute pictures. This is a picture of Ariel ready for her first "drop-off" party. She looked adorable and had such a good time. It made me feel like she was such a big girl.

Happy Birthday Sweet Abbye Cate!

Three years ago today we spent most of our afternoon trying to convince family and friends that we were not pulling an April Fool's Day joke on them. I really was headed to the hospital and we really were going to have our first baby.

As all of you parents know, there is nothing like that first experience and the feelings that you feel when you see your baby for the very first time. Instant love and infatuation! I really feel like Abbye should be just a few months old.

In her little 3 years she has already added so much joy, laughter and memories to our lives. We often catch ourselves just watching one of God's gifts to us in awe and amazement.

Just a few things about her: She sings ALL day long. Even when she is asking me a question she will sing it in some made up melody instead of speaking it. She loves acting silly and laughing at herself. She is very girly and loves all her dolls, dress-up clothes, princesses, lip gloss. etc...She knows all of her letters and what sounds they make. She can spell her name. She often likes to refer to Charlie and I as "Charlie and Amy" - another thing she thinks is really funny. She would play outside all day long and swing, slide and dig in the dirt if she could. She thinks Mickey and all his gang and The Little Mermaid are the coolest thing on the planet. She still loves her milk and gets most of her calories from it. She loves watching the TV show "Wipeout" with her Daddy while I fix supper. She LOVES to paint and play with play dough. She loves to look at herself in her full length mirror and sing. She prays the sweetest little prayers. Her hair is down to her waist. She is such a mommy-the cutest big sister ever. She loves her brother!! She wants to help care for him, reads to him, sings to him, bosses him, and loves all over him. I love it! She adores all of her family - especially Mimzi and Poppy. Her memory amazes me. She remembers details about things that happened when she was so little. She can go anywhere on her tricycle now. She still lets me rock her! I could go on and on!

She is such a light in our life and makes being a parent so rewarding! I thank God daily for this precious girl!

Snow and Cooking

We had some CRAZY cold weather a few weeks ago. It was so cold it set records. The temp would be 7 degrees outside with a wind chill of -15. One afternoon that wasn't so cold (don't worry, I didn't freeze my kids) we ran out for a quick picture. Anson couldn't figure out this snow stuff and Abbye didn't understand why he wouldn't just stand up and take picture.
We got to keep Ellie and Aiden during the cold. They were so cute. The boys wanted nothing to do with the camera but the girls helped me cook... (and eat)

Abbye and Ellie both practiced breaking eggs for our cupcakes. Lets just say I pulled out a few pieces of shell :)

They couldn't wait for the icing. Ellie dug right in and Abbye was scoping out the perfect one.

A little guidance from Elena helped.

The cupcakes were cute for a few hours. After Abbye went to bed I went to cover them and all the sugar hearts were gone off the top of them. I asked Abbye what happened and she innocently replied that they were in her tummy.

Blue Haven Weekend

A few weeks ago was the First Annual Camp Blue Haven Honors Banquet. The banquet honored Philip and Tammy Camp. The Camp's are loved and respected by so many. They have been such a blessing to Blue Haven and have continued to be a blessing in our lives as Tammy is now our pediatrician.

The Boyd's and Tardy's got to come and stay with us. Abbye and Kenna had a blast together. They have gotten to where they play so good together. Heather and Daniel slept in Abbye's bed so Abbye got to sleep in her new "Special Bed." She was more than willing. She LOVES her special bed. Abbye and Kenna are "resting" in our room. How much resting do you really think they did?

I recently took Abbye to her first movie in a theater. We watched Tangled and it was supper cute. Tiffany, Kail, Kagney, Zaylee, Cassie and Ellie went, too. Ellie got a little sleepy.

Our Precious Anson is ONE today!

Our Precious Baby Boy turns one today! I can NOT believe it! Him being in our life has been so wonderfully indescribable. He entered this world on February 13th at 9:30a.m. and weighing in at 8 lbs 2 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. He hasn't slowed down at all. Even though he only has 2 teeth, he loves to eat - always has and is a healthily, solid little chunk. He is so loving and cuddly. He adores his big sister and thinks she is the funniest thing ever. In fact, he thinks she is so cool he decided early on that he needed to figure out how to keep up with her. He became very mobile by 7 months and even more mobile when he decided to start walking at 10 1/2 months. He is such a happy, laid back, easy little boy. He doesn't get worked up about much except his food. His big blue eyes are captivating. He is just the cutest little guy! He is very curious and follows us around trying to imitate everything. He does think everything is a phone and holds it to his ear and says, "elllo." He likes to brush his hair, jabber, clap, sing and can quickly get into anything! I like to affectionately think of him as my "quiet mess." One second he is by my side and the next he has the bathroom cabinets emptied and his hands in the toilet.

When asked my kids age I often get, "Wow, you have your hand full!" Yes, I certainly do. Full of laughter. Full of excitement and entertainment. Full of snuggles and kisses. Full of blessings God has entrusted to my care. I wouldn't change any of it. Anson, you have brought so much to our lives. What a true joy this past year has been! I love you so much. You are a ray of sunshine to anyone that sees you. I feel as if my heart could burst. I am so excited about all the laughter and memories in store for this next year. Happy Birthday!!!

New Year's Eve we had our Bible Class from church over. We had more people come then ever before and lots more kids then usual. It was so much fun. The kids had a blast playing and thanks to Coby and Garrett Killough they were very low maintenance. Most of them made it to midnight. We all really enjoyed each others company.

Anson really enjoyed Lesley's homemade soft pretzels.

At one point Abbye asked me if we were through with Bible Study yet. She thought we were having a really long small group :)

New Year's Day we went to Muleshoe all dressed in our Aggie gear. Yes, I know they didn't play on New Year's Day but I wanted us to all be in the football spirit. Abbye went around saying "Gig 'Em Aggies" and would then look at her Daddy and say, "AND Wreck 'em Tech."

Falling Leaves in the Middle of Winter

It is finally time for some January catch up. This winter has been so mild. Charlie and Abbye went out after a windy day to rack up some leaves. This is what I was called out to take pictures of. Abbye thought it was so funny.
Abbye got a vacuum from her Aunt Andra for Christmas. She LOVES it! It actually really vacuums. I don't think Charlie nor I have vacuumed alone since Christmas.

The last day of my break I took the kids the fire station and we ate lunch with Daddy and the other firemen. Both the kids had a great time. Abbye was really impressed with Daddy's station but even more impressed when they got a call and she got to watch them ride off in the engine.

Like I said...Abbye had a good time :)

Christmas Part 3 of 3 Snyder and Toy Time

Christmas Part 2 of 3 Santa Found Us in Muleshoe

I always LOVE being in Muleshoe for Christmas. We did lots of playing and cooking the few days we were there before Christmas. We had to load the dishwasher so many times that Anson thought it was toy. He climbed up himself and was taking a peak. Lanny and Mickey (some long time family friends) come over for a while and the kids loved Lanny playing with them.

Kenna and Abbye did great playing together and were so fun to watch this holiday season.

We tried to get a good picture in front of Mom and Dad's beautiful tree but getting all four to smile AND look at the camera at the same time was a challenge. Kenna and Dane had the right idea in this one.

Cade and Kyla gave the girls a box of princess dress up clothes. Don't be surprised to see a blog soon of all different princesses. Abbye as had fun with it.

As you all know, the box is always more fun than the present to a 10 month old.

COOKIE TIME!!! The girls could NOT wait to get to decorate cookies. They were hilarious. Kenna made such a mess that her feet were dyed red and green and Abbye couldn't quite eating everything. She licked everything that had icing on it - spatulas, sprinkle containers, fingers and yes, even the cookies. They each got their own rolling pin from Mimzi and LOVED it! Hard at work

He also thought he could get his sister's beloved candy. I am sure he didn't have it for long. We spent Christmas Eve at Mama & Papa's house and had enjoyed our time there. Every family member was there so we took some big group shots. I will post them when I get them. I am sure I took pictures while we were there. I will have to look back on my camera.

We all had a great time watching the kids. They loved all the festivities and got so excited about everything we did. A teacher friend of mine told me once that holidays were more fun with children. I have always loved the holidays so I wasn't sure I believed her. I didn't have kids at the time. Now I fully understand what she was talking about!

Christmas Part 1 of 3 Our Little Family

Christmas in the Turner Family was loaded with fun, travels, excitement, cooking, family and more fun! We had a great Christmas weekend. Charlie had to go into work Christmas Eve and work Christmas Day so our traditions got a little switched around but it all worked out great! We did our own family Christmas Wednesday morning before leaving for Muleshoe.

This picture is not Christmas related but I loved the way Anson was absorbed in watching Abbye feed her baby. Another non-Christmas picture but SO cute! Where is the best place to read a book? On the toilet of course. Christmas Pictures...

Abbye was definitely more aware of what was going on this year and was so much fun. She could RIP the paper off in a hurry but she wouldn't let us look or say anything until every little piece of paper was off of the package. If we let out an "Ohhh" or "Look Abbye" before all the paper was off we would be scolded with a "NOT YET!" from her. It was hilarious. Little Mermaid PJ's - a favorite!

A Vintage Christmas

We have been trying to take advantage of all of the fun holiday things to do in town. I love all of the festivities. The kids had a visit from Santa at their school and they both got some really cute pictures. (They are scanned so the quality isn't the best.)

I had to throw this one in. Abbye in her apron eating cereal.

Vintage Township has been having a holiday celebration every weekend since Thanksgiving. Santa is there, hot chocolate, lots of Christmas trees, carols playing throughout the park with lots of trees and lights that danced with the music, a sleigh, horse and carriage rides and even fake snow blowing through the park. We went Friday night and had so much fun. Santa had been in the beautiful town hall but had to be moved to this undecorated corner because of an "event"??? It wasn't pretty and the kids wouldn't look at the camera but Abbye did make sure Santa knew she wanted some candy and new milk.

The kids are at the very bottom of this tree looking up at it. They look like toy people. The were mesmerised.

This is almost all of the kids in our small group. We were trying to get a cute picture of them. Hopefully someone got a better one than this one.

Christmas in Colorado

We got to take our Christmas trip to Colorado last weekend. It was Anson's first trip and I think he really liked the mountains. We could not have asked for the kids to do better in the car. They were fabulous! It was a quick trip but we got to spend some great time with Charlie's family.

We got to go to a few Muleshoe Mules football games. Of course it wasn't as fun as all the games we watched Cade's senior year but some really cute girls were really funny to watch.

I had to post this picture. Look at the faces on all three of them. ha ha ha

After yelling for the Rangers for so long and then switching to the Mules, Abbye did yell, "Go Rangers" a few times at the football game. It was really cute. My mom recently took her to a Muleshoe basketball game and she asked if she was supposed to yell "Go Rangers" or "Go Mules." Fall sports are so fun!

Mama's Texas Ranger's Birthday Party

WOW! I am SO far behind on uploading pictures. Yes, this birthday trip was at the beginning of October and yes, I know it is December. I still want to most them to share them with my family and for my own "scrapbooking." This is as good as it gets as far as scrapbooking and me go.

Our October was so fun! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I got so excited about fall and Halloween that Abbye quickly caught on. She picked out her Nemo costume in early October and is still in love with it. She also thought her little lion brother was precious too (he was!) We met some friends at the Garden and Arts Center and went on the Pumpkin Trail. It was so neat to see the hundreds of carved pumpkins. Abbye and Anson both enjoyed it!

Abbye came home from the Pumpkin Trail insisting on Charlie helping her carve a pumpkin. This is what I came home to one afternoon after school.

Thursday evening I took the kids to LCU to the girls dorm. They had the halls decorated for trick-or-treating and lots of fun activities outside. We saw the Paden's there. Abbye and Zaylee were excited to see each other.

Charlie graduated from Rookie school the last day of July. The ceremony was so cool! The whole thing gave me goose bumps and made me feel so proud. It was a long road and this kind of concluded that part of our life and was a step towards our new schedule and routine.

Yes, I know, it is almost October. I just came across these pictures and wanted them archived. We had such a fun summer! I do LOVE fall but I miss the summer days already. Anson is about 5 months old here.

Papa built Abbye this cute little table. She eats almost every meal at it, colors at it, reads at it and plays at it TONS! She loves it and is quick to tell everyone that her Papa made it for her.

Cari finally got to come visit this summer. She got lots of cuddling in and my kids loved her. It was SO SO SO great to see her.

First Day of Super Kids

I sent my kids to Super Kids today. It is the Tuesday/Thursday school at church. They both walked right in and did great! Me, on the other hand, got a little teary :) We have been gathering school supplies and getting things ready for several days. Abbye has been unable to sleep because she has been asking me so many questions about who will be there and what they will do with all their supplies. She has been wanting to sleep on her nap map at night. Anson has been super excited too. All of Abbye's butterfly gear is ready to go.
Anson was racing towards the butterfly stuff too. Don't worry, his sister didn't even let him get close.

My kids love Bible Class. I took Anson for the first time when he was 4 months old. That is couple of months sooner than when I took Abbye. I felt like he was too little! He sat up in the seat just fine and loves it already.
Abbye has ALWAYS loved Bible Class. She sings the songs and plays "Bible Class" ALL the TIME!

I am SO very thankful to be a part of a church family like South Plains. My kids have lots of friends there age and I know they well taken care of. We are so blessed to be a part of South Plains.

We love Critterfest at the Science Spectrum! This year we met chruch friends there again but Kenna, Dane, Heather and Daniel got to come with us. Abbye isn't smiling in many of the pictures. She wasn't feeling good and by the end had a fever. The girls had a blast playing! The Rollercoaster

Father's Day Fun

Yes, I know Father's Day was over a month ago but I am just catching my blog up for documentation sake. We had a great day. We stayed in Lubbock and celebrated. Abbye and Anson gave their Daddy a new Case hunting knife. He was really excited about it. Anson was too - can't you tell :)

Swimming Lessons

In early June Abbye and I did Mommy and Me swimming lessons at the Tech Leisure Pool. It was so fun to be in the water with her. She loves the water and loved the lessons. It definitely wore both of us out but she still "kicks and scoops" and sings all the songs.

Cade and Kyla's Wedding!!!!

We had such a wonderful time! The wedding was in Roswell and we got to see lots of family and friends. Cade was SO handsome and Kyla looked absolutely beautiful. They should be in bridal magazine. We went to Roswell Friday and the girls got to swim before rehearsal. Rehearsal was well...entertaining when it came to the flower girls. Kenna, Abbye and Hunter thought it was so fun to run around on the stage. It made me very nervous for the actual wedding. Rehearsal dinner was great. Mom and Dad did a super job getting it all together. Saturday morning we had a bridal brunch. It was so good. We are still talking about the recipes. Then the rollers went in and the getting ready began. I had my hands full making sure Abbye was doing what she was supposed to to fulfill her duties so I forgot about my camera too often. I am very sad in the lack of pictures that I have. I have "borrowed" some :)

Happy 4th of July

Once again, I am behind on my blog. I have lots of cute summer pictures and Cade and Kyla's wedding pictures to share but since today is the 4th, I will start here. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I don't really know why. I love the parades, fireworks, red/white/blue...all of it. Muleshoe has always had a great celebration. We spent the 3rd there with my family and had a great time. The rain stopped just for the parade and the fireworks. Abbye loved the parade. Probably because she collected an entire bag full of candy. Cade and Anson lookin' good! More candy...

We drove back to Lubbock after the fireworks. It rained 11 inches in 36 hours in Lubbock. Everything was very flooded and getting home was a little intense. We just tonight discovered our carpet around the fireplace is wet.

Tonight for the 4th we went out with Charlie's family to celebrate with ice cream and more fireworks and sparkler. Abbye still didn't love the "boom" but got the hang of the sparklers. Anson loved all the cuddling he got! It was still cold so he got to stay indoors most of the time.

1500 Miles of Fun

Yea for summer!!! I am so happy for school to be out and for summer adventures and activities to begin. We are off to a great start. We left as soon as we could last Friday to go to Prosper and meet Dane. He was absolutely precious - so tiny! We took pictures of him with the other three grandkids but unfortunately, my camera was already packed. i will steal them as soon as my sister or mom post them. Sunday we went to the wedding of Noah Brown. It was AwEsOmE! It was very fancy and it was SO fun to see friends that we haven't seen in years!

Monday we loaded up our little family and took off to Galveston to the beach. We wanted to take a family vacation and with Charlie changing jobs in a few weeks, it was now or maybe never this year. The kids did WONDERFUL!!! in the car. I couldn't have asked for better. Our hotel was on the beach, we ate wonderful seafood and did a lot of swimming and playing. Abbye was totally impressed with the ocean. She still tells stories of walking on the sand in her beach shoes, digging with her shovel, swimming with Daddy (she quickly discovered this was more fun than with Momma,) picking up seashells and "jumping" the waves. She thought it was great. Anson did amazing while at the beach. He played for a little while and then fell asleep in his stroller and slept the afternoon away. We have fun memories from the trip and hope to get to go back sometime. I know Abbye will be all about it!Eating at Landry's - so good!

6 Years Ago Today

Today is our 6th Anniversary. I can not believe that it has been 6 years. It has gone so fast! When people post online about how wonderful their husbands are and how much they love them, I often think, "Well then just tell them." But going against my own liking, I have to say today that...I love my husband and love my little family of four. 8 years ago, Charlie went to my Kappa banquet with me and didn't even remember my name. I guess I need to be thankful to his roommates for knowing who I was:) I immediately thought he was so handsome (and still do!) Dating and being married to Charlie is so fun! He keeps me going and on my toes and I love everything about him. I love his sense of humor, his motivation, his love for God and his family, his willingness to help anyone at anytime and oh...I could go on and on. God has given us great times together. We have had some awesome trips, fun weddings, gone through family deaths together, have an amazing family and church family, great friends, and have gotten to experience the birth of our two precious children. In the past 6 years God has grown us and blessed us tremendously! I cherish the memories we have made and look forward to many many more. I love you, Charlie!

Anson is doing wonderful! He is 10 weeks old today. At his 2 month check-up he was 23 inches long and 12 pounds 7 ounces (75th % in both areas). He is waking up once around 4:00 or 4:30 and believe it or not I kind of enjoy the time with just me and him. He so precious! He is so alert now when he is awake and makes the cutest little coos. Charlie's Dad and his wife Amy got to come from Colorado for Abbye's birthday and to meet Anson.

This is just a random one I found on my camera from Easter. Abbye is getting pampered Saturday night for Easter day. Another one I thought was cute. Andra and Steve got Abbye a picnic table for her birthday. If you look at her you can see that she is helping with the screws.

I am just now getting pictures up from Easter. We spent the weekend in Snyder and enjoyed all the family time. The weather was gorgeous! Abbye didn't quite get the whole "hunting" part of the egg hunt. She was happy getting one egg, opening it, eating it and then putting it in her basket. It was very cute! The Sunday before Easter our Small Group from Church met at our house. While the adults had a Bible Study I dyed Easter eggs with kids outside.

We also dyed eggs at Starkye and Rick's house in Snyder.

Abbye, Anson and I rode to Dallas with Mom and Dad to Kenna's 2nd birthday party. I glad we got to go. Charlie stayed behind and took care of spring cleaning. He did the lawn, all the laundry and cleaned the flower beds, garage and house. Kenna's party was at the Wiggly Play Center and was all a Wiggles theme. It was so cute. They had little party rooms with little tables and chairs. The girls LOVED all the tunnels and slides and bouncing. Happy Birthday Kenna! We had fun!
